Calgary Basement Fire Requires Thorough Clean

When SERVPRO of Calgary South received a call about a local basement fire, we jumped on the call. Fire jobs require a long list of specialty equipment. It is not as easy as removing burnt materials and replacing them. The smoke from the fire can stain most materials and leave a very strong odour that must be dealt with. Every surface needs to be scrubbed thoroughly and sanitized with an anti-microbial. This can be an extremely time consuming component to the work but it is vital to our job that we do not leave the site still smelling of smoke.
